La Danse Macabre - Venom Complete

Rumours about my demise have been greatly exaggerated. I am still here and hobbying. Real life is busy (constant state of affairs nowadays) so I have had to adapt my hobby schedule to suit.

La Danse Macabre - Venom WIP

Hey folks. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you a happy new year too! Sorry for the delayed best wishes, but as usual at this time of year, life is just super busy with family, visits, work etc (the usual stuff). Fortunately I have managed to do a little hobby over the last month or so, working 10 mins here and there on a venom for La Danse Macabre.......

Chapter Approved Podcast - Part 3 of 3 with NafNaf

Yes I know, I am late again! This time it is not illness in the family, I caught it off them and spent weds and thurs in bed :(

Chapter Approved - Part 2 of 3 Interview with NafNaf

Apologies for the delay in posting up the link for this. I have had a lot on this weekend, with my lad being ill and now my wife down with the flu (it never rains but it pours as they say). Released last Wednesday was the second part of 3 episodes that Tibbs interviewed me for on his Chapter approved podcast. The episodes are half an hour in length, and he is talking to me about my Danse Macabre Dark Eldar project, general hobby thoughts and chit chat between two like minded people :)

Interview with NafNaf on the Chapter Approved Podcast

Hey folks. I recently got interviewed by Tibbs from the Chapter approved podcast, about my Dark Eldar Carnival project La Danse Macabre.

Dark Eldar Talos With Balloon Pump! - Painted

Dark Eldar Talos Conversion

Greetings! After a thoroughly enjoyable journey I have managed to complete my fourth Dark Eldar Talos for the Corpsethief Claw formation. You may have seen my WIP updates as I progressed through the paint job on this chappie (which hopefully was interesting for ya all), and after a glorious Saturday where I managed to get both varnish coats done and finish the basing, I can now call him complete!

Squadary - Dark Eldar Scourge

Rory over at stepping between games is running a painting challenge through Feb to get a unit of your choice built and fully painted by the end of the month. Well I have decided to join in and paint a unit of Scourge that I converted yonks ago.

Talos Wip Stage 3 - ooh er! That's a fine leg you are showing!!

Been working on the lower half of the Talos over the last few days. Not my usual way as I tend to work by colour rather than section, working through each colour stage until I am done. I did not go this way on this chappie though, as some features are quite large and I did not want to get fed up painting areas of the same thing over and over (I am doing this for enjoyment after all :) )

Talos Wip Stage 2 - Colours!

Managed to crack on with this Creepy balloon merchant yesterday and got a load of base coating done. I hope to get much more completed this eve too if I can tear myself away from amazon TV (so many films, so little time).

Talos Wip stage 1

Hey folks. So this is my first Wip post, as promised, to hopefully take you through as I work through this mini. It is one of the 3 talos I converted awhile ago that has sat in a case waiting for me to regain some painting motivation.

2016 Review and Goals for 2017

Hey folks. Been a while hasn't it. I hope you all had a fab Christmas and happy new year. Did Santa give you any plastic and resin goodness in your stockings? I got a Spartan assault tank, which I am excited to get on the table. Looks a bitch to assemble though, so might be a while before you see it on here :D. A bit of a wordy post but hopefully I can keep you interested till the end ;)

Harlequin Carnival - La Danse Macabre Photo Showcase

Dark Eldar Wych Conversions

Hey all.

Done a load of new photos for La Danse Macabre as some of them were pretty dated and were taken at the beginning of my blogging journey. Getting them all collated and in one place is a good way to do a showcase of where I am at so far, and it is always nice to see some older models that have got lost in the annals of time.

Corsair Cloud Dancer Jetbike Conversions Underway

What Ho my fine interwebz friends! Over the last week I have been working on a new unit for La Danse Macabre, Cloud Dancer Jetbikes.

Carnival Talos Complete. Prepare the house of Cards!

Greetings o wise and humble interwebs. Hot off the painting desk I bring you the 3rd Talos for La Danse Macabre. I have literally just finished him, and got so excited I whipped out the foldio and got some pictures taken to show you all straight away :)

Harlequin Carnival - La Danse Macabre Full Army Shots

These pics have been long overdue, and I have promised a number of you I would post up some army shots when I was able, but there was always one more unit or vehicle to finish before I felt I had a full army to show.

Dark Eldar Carnival Venom Complete (With Crew)

A break in the weather allowed me to apply the final varnishing for the fool crew member, and after that I got onto mounting them both to the chassis of the venom which was relatively pain free.

Carnival Crewman #3 - I'm a fool, let me blow my trumpet!

Yippee! Da fool is back in town, and busting out some tunes yo! I have finally finished the crew for my second Carnival Venom.

Dark Eldar Carnival Crewman #2

Well hello my lovely readers :). I have yet more hobby progress to share. At the beginning of the week I finished my second crew member for the carnival venom.

Dark Eldar Carnival Venom Gunner finished

What! Hobby! Never! Yes...yes it is true I have managed to pull my finger out and complete a model. Only taken me a month and a half :D.

Drazhar, Master of Blades Conversion

Drazhar, Master of Blades

Having not long ago showcased my Incubi conversion I thought it rude not to also show their boss, Drazhar, the evil Phoenix Lord and believe it or not, a master of blades ;).
