Harlequin Carnival - La Danse Macabre Full Army Shots

These pics have been long overdue, and I have promised a number of you I would post up some army shots when I was able, but there was always one more unit or vehicle to finish before I felt I had a full army to show.

Recently I went to double trouble (a tournament run by Alex from The Fang blog) so I had to focus to get a useable army ready by the set date. Luckily I completed what I needed in time, and the result of that is I have a functional army to show. I borrowed a FAT mat from the gaming club so I could take some nice photos, and grabbed the opportuninty while my son was down for his nap this afternoon to set up and take a ruck of photos. They have not come out too badly, and I am pleased I have something to show you all (finally).

It is only when I get all the models together like this that I can really see if my scheme is working. The main red colour is a nice consistent throughout the army, that is so full of colours and patterns, and seeing it tie everything together is very pleasing to me. Hope you enjoy :)

    1. Thanks Greg :). Still much more to work on for this army, so I hope to do another army shot when I reach 1850pts, which is my next milestone. Been alot of fun cooking up all the ideas, and I am looking forward to expanding more into the eldar, amd adding some corsair units too so I can have a very flexible army

  6. Yeah but when are you going to give us full army shots... wait I can't use that as my comment any more.

Looking really slick there Naf. I bet you are glad to see how much stuff you have together now? Really come together nicely.

    1. Hahaha nice one cheers Rory :D

Yes I am really pleased to see a useable army painted up. Felt like I would never get there sometimes. Tbh there is not too much lore to do before I reach the 1850pt mark, which I hope to do by November

  7. Meh, decent enough I suppose ;p

Joking of course, NafNaf, absolutely stunning. Even better seeing them in person at Double Trouble and playing against them.

Now if you don't mind, I'm going to go and cry in the corner for a bit about never having an army as nice as this.....

    1. Hehe cheers Mike :D

It was great to be able to bring them to an event for the first time, amd have 3 really enjoyable games with them to boot. Tournaments definately have a way of focussing ones painting efforts somewhat. Next one for me is in November it looks like, so I will have a bit more stuff on the painting desk to get my army up to 1850pts

  8. Beautiful! It's been great to see each of the amazing pieces come together, but seeing it all in one shot is epic! It's crazy you were able to use so much color, and yet have it look so uniform. Great work!

  13. proving that converting and kitbashing is second to none in our collective hobby and your work is proof that with some effort and patience and a little vision you can achieve great results. as others have basically said: great stuff.

note: more then a bit jealous of your skill. sorry. :)

    1. Yes it's one of the glorious things about our hobby that it encourages such creativity and imagination. So many different projects and concepts out there, and the kits and lore just cry out to create your own story with.

Thanks for the compliment. No need to be sorry ;)
