Eldar Farseer On Jetbike Conversion - Baron Sathonyx Rises From The Ashes

I dug this chap out of the closet on Friday for a game and realised I had never actually posted him up on here before.

He started life as my Baron Sathonyx in the last codex, but since his unfortunate demise in the new edition I have been at a loss as to what his role is now in my Carnival. Well my eldar allied detachment has given him a new lease of life, and he is now a Farseer, driving warped eldar creatures beofre him with his psychic might (and lollipops).

I used a hellion skyboard and spliced in two raider keels for the bladed wings. The body is from a high elf mage, with the head from the empire wizard kit & scythe from a flagellant. The hat was press moulded for the basic shape, then carved and sanded into shape to get all the hat curves. A bit of green stuff for the ragged sleeves and voila! One of my favourite character conversions was born :)

I am pretty chuffed to get some use again from this chappie. He was pretty useful in the game friday, so I will be rolling him out more often in the future :)

Ta ta for now

  4. Hands down the little forked beard is my favourite thing about this guy. Make him seem like a mystery disappearing shop owner from tales from the crypt. Awesome :)

    1. lol, I can imagine him trying to sell me a dodgy grandfather clock at the back of a musty old shop, and then disappearing in a puff of smoke once he has your cash :D

  5. SO MUCH YES.

I really love him. Good work, and I'm glad you dug him out!

Weird question: have you got any extra Harlie masks from the starweaver or whatever their venom-stand-in is called? I want to do a female talos to mimic my Coven Nurses, and I need a somewhat placid female face for it. I thought the larger mask inserts would be the perfect thing. Let me know and I'll make it worth your while :)

    1. Thanks man :). I am pretty chuffed he has a purpose again.

I think I do have a few masks in my bits box. I will have a check tmoz (baby asleep in room at mo). Pretty sure I did not use all of them for the wraithknight.

  6. You have no idea what a treat it is to come back to the blogs after being a lazy bum and not paying attention for a bit...then seeing your awesome conversions almost first thing. Seriously. Best conversions ever.
