Well hello dear readers. Forgive my short radio silence but I have been doing all sorts of busy real life things, and little plastic soldiers have had to take a back seat for a little while.
Thankfully I have a few days off coming up and I have quit one of my jobs (minor rant :- seriously, having a second job is soo not worth it. I was getting taxed to the hilt so essentially I ended up working for not very much. Considering most people work a second job because they are skint this seems pretty ridiculous to me. What is the point tax peoples huh??). Not working fridays now means I can hopefully do some more hobby again and get a bit more progress posted up. Posting this not only lets you all know what I am working on but also gives me a target to work towards for the next month or so, until I can get back in the swing of things again.
I have quite a few projects I want to complete, and all are in various stages of completion.
Firsg up is the crew for a Dark Eldar raider I have competed. I dont want to post up any pics until the crew are done and mounted, but the raider is looking pretty sweet, and I cant wait to show it to you all. Getting these done asap means I will finally have another Carnival unit painted and another small milestone crossed in my goal to get 1850pts painted and playable.
Next I have my Dropzone Commander Oppressor. This command unit had been pretty hit and miss for me on the tabletop but I figure a lick of paint should turn his fortune round. Everyone knows painted minis perform better on the tabletop right? He has been sitting in his basecoat and wash for over 6 months now and it is high time I got him done. Once the painful drybrushing is out the way it gets pretty fun, but as you can see I still have the legs to do and then the highlight drybrush, before adding the colours and depth to the model with washes. It wont take much to get him done but the motivation has been lacking somewhat.
Finally a bit of Malifaux. Izamu the armor and Toshiro the daimyo to do. I started strong on painting my resurrectionist crew but waned after the bulk of them was done. Again I am half way through Izamu, but I need a lot more to do on Toshiro. A solid evening on each should finish them both off. Oh time why are you so fleeting?
So wish me luck on my hobby endeavour folks. I hope to post up some of these finished pretty soon. In the meantime I have a few Infinity and Dropzone Models I have finished that I want to show. Just not had time to get the foldio set up and proper snazzy photos done.
Merry Christmas to all of you. I hope santa brings plenty of plastic and resin goodness so your Christmas is filled with glue fumes, sprues and scrapings :)
