Despite local folklore, preliminary tests indicate bite of wolf-mutants non-toxic. Hypothesis 2: transfer of mutant genetic material. See below data from experiments thus far with Fenrisian diaspora, control hive-world subjects and the mutant Astartes kindly provided. Results following intravenous injection of mutant Astartes blood.
Subjects 3, 7, 8, 14, 16, 24, 27, 33
Death via fever.
Subjects 1, 4, 9, 10, 11, 17, 21, 28
Death via mutation (unstable).
Subjects 6, 12, 23, 25, 29
Mutation (stable): euthanised.
Subjects 2, 5, 13, 15, 18, 19, 20, 22, 26, 30, 31, 32
Recovery: retained for further study, followed by euthanisation.
Of note: Surprised at low death and mutation rate in Fenrisian subjects. Further research required.

Bitten again by a subject during euthanisation. Must ensure greater caution going forwards.

New development. Despite no visible symptoms some recovered subjects are carriers. Extreme stress provoked by attempted euthanisation results in delayed onset of mutation. Prolonged close quarters struggle before subject was overcome. Lab will require significant decontamination before research can recommence.

Two subjects breached containment. Appear to have freed others. Antipyretics must be impairing my judgement. Currently barricaded in laboratory pending escape. Likely outcome is abandonment of facility. Client will be most displeased. Sole course of action: travel to Fenrisian Reaches. Capture and study wild subjects.

Recommend IV and VII replicae-drones. Capable, obedient, easily replaceable. Webber for capture. Taser goad for placation.
III 'Luggage' to travel also. Simple thing, but inordinately proud of. Wholly own design.
Farewell and godspeed.
So here's the next little band of gribblies :) someone mentioned that it would be a cool idea to provide a face(ish) to the voice in my research notes so I cobbled together this little Biologis Adept :) worked quite well for a parts-bin special even if I do say so myself!
I also quite like the idea of an exploring 40k naturalist wandering around cataloguing the various weird and wonderful ways the human form has mutated in these parts. Sort of like how the Victorians fanned out around the world and wrote copious and vaguely condescending logs of native peoples they encountered ;)
Hope you like them!
