DZC - Scourge Reavers

Scourge Reavers

Howdy hey you fine folks of the inter-webs. While I work on my montly painting goals I thought I would showcase another unit in my Scourge army.

These two bad boys are Reavers, and they are basically the gunships of the scourge army, specializing in an anti tank role with their 4 heavy guns apiece. I have to be honest and say that although they are good on paper, I have never been able to use them very effectively, mainly due to my appalling dice rolling and average generalmanship. I absolutely love the models though, and try and use them in most of my games if poss. Nothing different in terms of paint scheme, just following the usual wash and drybrush routine. Still fun to paint them though.

As an aside I am progressing really well on my 5 man DE warrior unit, so look for a post sometime soon (weather permitting, I can get them varnished and based by next weekend). They are looking pretty ace and I am looking forward to posting them up and getting another unit finished for the carnival.

  1. I've said it before, but I really like the paint scheme you do on this army. It's simple but looks great. Nice job.

  3. Looking great as always man, I was just looking at the main pic when my daughter pointed at the screen saying 'look daddy, turkles!'.

Keep up the good work mate, they look ace. What's the game itself like, any good?

    1. :D they do look like turkles, love it! Cheeses dude :)

Honestly I think dropzone is one of the best games around at the mo. Def one of the most fun, balanced and tactical games I have played. The rules are right, armies are balanced (and the company constantly reviews the game to keep it so) and missions and game are really fun to play. Each game I have had is a nail biter, with victory not assured until the last turn, or even the last roll of the dice. I cannot recommend the game enough
