Bjorn The Fell Handed Conversion Painted

Bjorn The Fell Handed
Wohoo! Thats right I have managed to complete my Bjorn vow for Dreadtober with just a few days to go. I thought at one point I would not get it done but I sneaked a few hours at the weekend and a couple of evenings to get him finished, and I am delighted to say I am very happy with the outcome :)
A few of my fave bits are the gold, blue and fur. The lustre of the gold comes out well and the blue on the claws, charms and the glow of the frost cannon add a nice focal point to the dark base colours of the chassis. Anyhoo pics speak louder than words, I am pretty beat and my brain has turned to mush so I can't think of anything more to say (baby is teething and demanding attention ALOT!, who said having a baby was easy???) I am just chuffed I got him finished ;)
(Ps the snow is not so bright in real life, its just the glare from the lamps making it so white)

NafNaf out :)

    1. Thanks man :)

He is not I am afraid. I originally was going to bring him along with 3 other dreads, but my streak of bad luck with them was so bad I decided to can any vehicles in favour of thunderwolves (apart from a flyer)

  2. He looks suitably ancient! I love the simple and subtle OSL on the grave cannon and nice work on the old boat too :)

I am pleased the osl has come out ok. I do it by brush so it can be a bit hit and miss sometimes. I enjoyed painting the boat, and it adds a nice interest to the base too

  3. Yay, another Dreadtober Battle Brother complete! Congrats. I especially like the glow effects. I haven't been able to master that yet. Well done.

My glow effects can be a bit hit and miss tbh but this one came out really well. Dare I say I have mastered It finally? I will have to wait and see on the next one I guess :D

  4. Amazing NafNaf, he is a work of wonder. I especially like the OSL on the frost cannon and the whole model came across as a good mix of ancient, regal, and worn.

I am pretty chuffed with the overall worn look of him, as it makes the gold and other parts stand out nicely,. Regal is a good word to describe him, thanks man :)

Yeah I nearly did not make it. Life is busy at mo but I managed to scrape the odd hour here and there to do little bits on him
